In areas in need of emergency relief, where houses have either been destroyed or damaged, Alyaqeen Trust aims to provide basic housing for the needy. Starting from temporary measures such as tents and basic ‘shed’ houses, the charity aims to help re-house people with added amenities such as running water and drainage.
A feedback report for a new house will only be provided to donors who’ve contributed the full amount towards its construction. This report will be provided after the house has been built, which will be within 12 months.
Donors wishing to pay in instalments must pay the full amount within one year of the first instalment to be eligible for a feedback report. The construction of the home will begin once the full payment has been received.
Can make a difference for a widowed mother
The Islamic ruling is that after the husband, the responsibility of her assistance and maintenance falls on the son, father, and brother(s) respectively. Failing that, the responsibility falls on the community around her. Failing that the responsibility is on the Muslims as a whole.
